Forms in the Making

I am super excited!  I have the opportunity to present at my districts first eva technology conference.  Of course I will be presenting about something Google.  This time its all about Forms.  If you haven't made the switch yet to Google Drive, you are missing out.  Not only is it a cloud storage app, but you can also create documents- word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, drawings, and ... Forms.  It's dynamic and collaborative and FREE.  That's enough for me.  Plus my students think its magical.  Any time I incorporate a lesson or activity I created using Google Apps, every student is engaged, excited, and don't even realize that real learning is taking place.  Check out my presentation from this link: Google Drops: Overview & Forms and here is the video of the presentation: Google Drops: Overview & Forms (Video)  I can make some other tutorials using other Google Apps such as Sheets for data collection or Docs for interactive workshop/reading/writing lessons.  Just let me know! :)

To all you teachers out there:  Have an amazingly smooth school year!

In The Beginning...

Welcome to my world.  This blog is meant to share a little bit of what I like.  By default, you will learn a little bit about who I am.

Summer break is almost here!  5 more school days until I can enjoy my morning coffee at my kitchen table instead of out of a travel mug.  The kids are super excited since we have plans for basketball camp, Summer Zone, Kids Spark, swimming, the zoo, aquarium, and the Louisville Science Center.

Being a teacher is the best job ever.  For 10 months I am blessed to pour out my skills into my students. The 8 weeks of summer break is bonus time with my Fries (aka kids) that I never take for granted. Biggie Fry is the oldest; then there's Medium Fry and Small Fry.  Adam is jumping into some new stuff this summer, but you will have to ask him about all of that. ;)

Enjoy my space.  Click on the tabs above to see what I'm getting myself into.
